The annual Mashujaa Gala night dinner and awards ceremony is to recognize and celebrate those who continue to beat the odds and whose contribution to the Kenyan community remains an inspiration to many of us.

We celebrate your achievement and contribution to the Kenyan society in Houston and our Republic of Kenya. Over the days, months, years since coming to America, someone you know does something courageous and noble that inspires changes, mentors or makes a positive difference to the life of a Kenyan. 

Mashujaa Day Awards  Gala ceremony sets out to not only appreciate how far Kenya has come or to celebrate our political Heroes but also our Diaspora heroes that have made an impact  in the Kenyan Diaspora community. We recognize the many challenges that we as Kenyans in Diaspora have faced and overcome in the pursuit of the American dream.
