The organizing committee of the Mashujaa Gala night Dinner and Awards ceremony wishes to congratulate you following your nomination for Mashujaa awards. The Mashujaa awards Gala Night Dinner and awards ceremony will be held on 10/19/13 to honor those making an impact in the Kenyan social, business and professional community. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm and will end approximately 11:00pm at Swiss Royal Hall 9651 Bissonnet St. Houston Texas 77099. This ceremony will also serve as a platform for Kenyan entrepreneurs and professionals to promote their businesses.

Every year on the 20^th of October, Kenyan’s celebrate our political heroes: Men and Women that contributed to the struggle for Kenya’s Independence. Mashujaa Day is an opportunity to reflect on how far Kenya has come in its struggle to become an independent nation and also recognize those that contributed to the freedom. They are our heroes (Mashujaa).

The first annual Mashujaa Gala night dinner and awards ceremony will recognize and celebrate those who continue to bit the odds and whose contribution to the Kenyan community remains an inspiration to many of us. We celebrate your achievement and contribution to the Kenyan society in Houston and our Republic of Kenya.

You have been nominated for the outstanding community Organizer Award in recognition of your contribution to the community organization effort.

The winning nominees were selected from 11 categories submitted by the Kenyan Community to recognize those who continue to inspire and make us proud in their social, professional and career world.

During the presentation of the award, you will get the chance to share your experiences and words of wisdom with other Kenyans in your speech that will last not more than 5 minutes. As our award nominee, this is your day. All you will have to do is show up. You can invite your family and friends to celebrate with you this moment. However, they will have to get a ticket that will cover for their food and other costs of the event.

Entrance ticket includes food, soft drinks and entertainment: traditional dances. We shall also have one of the famous redikyulas comedians hosting the function together with other guest speakers who have been invited for the function.
